LG Ambassador Grants for Young Social Activists Again
LG Electronics Bangladesh, the South Korean multinational electronics company, invites youth organizations and individuals for the funding to realize their dreams of making a positive contribution to the society. Following a huge response from young social activists last year, the company will award `LG Ambassador’ grants of four lakh Taka each to five deserving candidates to implement their initiatives in 2018.
The awardees, who are active in education, social or environmental awareness and society or community development related projects, will also be recognized as ‘LG Ambassador’ for their willingness and struggle to work for the welfare of the people.
LG Bangladesh requests proposals from eligible applicants for works to be implemented and completed between November 2018 and December 2018. Young people and organizations can submit their application by filling a form circulated through the `LG Ambassador Campaign’ in LG Bangladesh Facebook page. The application submission will be ended on 10 November. Last year, LG Ambassador Grants has been provided to three organizations from 237 projects considering the project merit and implementation capacity of the organizations or individuals.
DK Son, Managing Director of LG Electronics Bangladesh said, “LG’s core value as a company is to make people’s life good not only via consumer centric products selling but also contributing to the society to improve lifestyles of people. Youths are too powerful to bring positive changes. So we announced LG Ambassador program again to provide deserving young individuals or organizations with an opportunity to realize their dreams of making a brighter society.”
Good Neighbors Bangladesh, an NGO, will play as implementing and monitoring partner of the project.
Many young people want to work to solve different types of problems existed in their societies at different corners of the country. They took many initiatives and struggled hard to eradicate social problem. But due to lack of financial assistance, their dream or initiatives can’t be fulfilled. In this background, the ‘LG Ambassador’ program was adopted to inspire young people who want to be a partner of social change and to co-operate them implementing their dreams-initiatives.
