Mumbai, BdChronicle:

Mumbai Indians successfully defended 142 in beating Delhi Daredevils by 14 runs in the Indian Premier League on Saturday.

Also, Rising Pune Supergiant rose from last place to fourth after beating 2016 finalist Sunriser Hyderabad with a Mahendra Singh Dhoni boundary on the last ball.

Mumbai didn't appear to have done enough after making only 142-8, spearheaded by 28 by opener Jos Buttler, one of three run-outs.

But Mumbai remarkably bowled even better than Delhi's pace battery, limiting the visitor to 128-7 and a third straight loss.

Paceman Mitchell McClenaghan sunk Delhi with 3-7 in two overs, but all of Mumbai's main bowlers contributed.

Delhi's chase began badly. Aditya Tare was run out in the first over for a duck, and fellow opener Sanju Samson was out in the second over for 9.

McClenaghan took out Shreyas Iyer and Corey Anderson in the fourth over, the fifth was a maiden, and Rishabh Pant edged to first slip in the sixth. Karun Nair chopped on to his stumps in the seventh, and Delhi was 24-6.
