39-day vacation at IU begins Saturday

Islamic University (IU), Kushtia will go on summer vacation for 39 days from Saturday.

There will be no classes held at IU from May 20 to July 3, during the vacation that includes Ramadan, Shab-e-Qadr and Eid-ul-Fitr, said an IU registrar's office source.

The administrative activities however would remain open from May 28 to June 19, IU acting registrar SM Abdul Latif said.

The departments will take their regular classes and examinations during the vacation if they so require, he added.

Chairman of IU hall provost council Prof Dr M Mizanur Rahman told UNB that the residential halls of the university will remain open for the students during the vacation.
