Seminar on ‘Diaspora identity formulation’ held at IU

A seminar on ‘Diaspora identity formulation: A Theoretical Perspective’ was held at Islamic University (IU) in Kushtia on Wednesday.

IU English Department organised the seminar at the university’s Arts Faculty building here around 11:00am.

Humanities and Social Science Faculty Dean Prof Dr M Habibur Rahman was present as a chief guest with the chairman of IU English Department Prof Dr AHM Aktarul Islam Zillu in the chair.

Prof Dr M Mizanur Rahman addressed the seminar as the chief discussant while Hussain Ahmed Liton, PhD fellow of IU’s English Department present two articles supervised by the departmental Professor M Maher Ali, director of the university’s IIER.

Dr Shahadath Hossain Azad, Prof IU English Department, Dr Jahangir Hossain, Prof of IU Islamic History and Culturer Department, M Altaf Hossain of Al-Fiqh Department were, among others, present at the seminar.
